Recently, the Jiangxi Xunwu Pumped Storage Power Station, the first pumped storage project invested and constructed by China Three Gorges Corporation in Jiangxi, received approval from the Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission, creating a good start for the start of project construction in 2024.
Jiangxi Xunwu Pumped Storage Power Station is located in Xunwu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. It is invested, constructed and operated by China Three Gorges Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd., with an installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts. 2035)" key implementation projects of the "14th Five-Year Plan".
In terms of equipment, the power station uses a large number of key electrical equipment such as isolation switches, transformers, switch cabinets, vacuum circuit breakers, lightning arresters, and drop-out fuses. These devices play a vital role in the operation of power stations.
Among them, the isolating switch is used to isolate the power supply during maintenance to ensure work safety; the transformer is responsible for regulating the voltage to ensure the stable operation of the power system; the switch cabinet is an important equipment in the power distribution system, responsible for controlling the distribution and transmission of power; vacuum circuit breaker The arrester is used to control the opening and closing of current; the lightning arrester is used to protect electrical equipment from damage by lightning; and the drop-out fuse is used to protect the safety of the circuit.
After the power station is completed, it will mainly undertake tasks such as peak shaving, valley filling, frequency modulation, phase modulation, energy storage and emergency backup of the Jiangxi power grid. It can absorb 2.02 billion kilowatt-hours of low-peak power and provide 1.51 billion kilowatt-hours of peak power every year, which is equivalent to saving power on the power grid. Coal consumption is about 467,000 tons, which will play an important role in meeting Jiangxi Province's growing demand for electricity, improving power quality, and maintaining stable operation of the power grid.
