According to the different insulation pillar structures
It can be divided into single column disconnectors, double column disconnectors, and three column disconnectors. The single column isolation switch directly uses the vertical space below the overhead busbar as electrical insulation for the break, therefore, it has obvious advantages of saving land area, reducing the number of lead wires, and having a particularly clear opening and closing state. In the case of ultra-high voltage transmission, the use of single column isolation switches in substations has a more significant effect on saving land area
