The 2025 Power Construction Industry Quality and Safety Work Conference and the Three-Year Action Plan Promotion Meeting, organized by the China Electric Power Construction Enterprise Association (CEPCEA), convened in Beijing on February 26-27. The conference prioritized the quality enhancement of critical electrical equipment essential for public safety-including disconnectors (ensuring maintenance safety), drop-out fuses (automatic fault interruption), zinc oxide arresters (lightning protection), and switchgear (power distribution core). The goal is to achieve high-quality development across the entire power construction industry through comprehensive industrial chain upgrades.
The power construction sector must rigorously uphold equipment quality standards. Key devices such as substation disconnectors (critical for circuit protection) and drop-out fuses (automatic fault isolation) directly impact grid safety. The industry must maintain strategic clarity, adhere to the principle of "quality first, safety foremost", fully implement the "Quality Powerhouse Construction Outline", enhance industrial competitiveness and cluster leadership, and foster internationally recognized brands. Collaboration among government agencies, research institutions, industry associations, and enterprises will forge a strong collaborative force with shared responsibilities.
To reinforce quality and safety, the industry must accelerate green and low-carbon transformation, intensify R&D and deployment of clean and renewable energy technologies, and contribute to China's carbon peaking and neutrality goals. Concurrently, it must prioritize technological innovation and talent development, increase R&D investment, promote joint breakthroughs in core technologies, establish industry standards, and elevate technical capabilities and innovation.

Technology-Driven Quality Enhancement: Accelerate the development of new productive forces, drive digital and intelligent transformation, modernize energy infrastructure, and upgrade smart technologies for equipment and processes.

Global Collaboration: Expand international cooperation, foster a fair and mutually beneficial global energy governance framework, and shape a new paradigm for international power construction partnerships.
The conference successfully consolidated industry consensus to holistically improve construction safety and quality. Moving forward, efforts will focus on refining regulatory frameworks, enforcing multi-pronged measures to enhance workplace safety, prevent accidents, and eliminate major incidents.
