FCD3 magnetically blown zinc oxide arrester is a common lightning protection device, also known as magnetically controlled arrester, which is mainly used to protect power systems and equipment from lightning strikes.

FCD3 magnetic blown zinc oxide arrester, due to the use of magnetic blown arc extinguishing gap, increases the arc extinguishing capability, increases the freewheeling value, and accordingly reduces the residual voltage. A shunt resistor is connected in parallel next to the spark gap to evenly distribute the power frequency discharge voltage along the spark gap, thereby increasing the power frequency discharge voltage and improving the impact coefficient. Furthermore, by changing the main capacitance or stray capacitance of the gap, the distance between the gap groups is increased. The impulse voltage distribution is uneven to reduce the impulse discharge voltage of the arrester and make it have better protection characteristics.
