Yangzhou Baoying area is rich in wind and light resources, and new energy has developed rapidly in recent years. As of the end of July, the county's new energy installed capacity reached 1.4922 million kilowatts, with annual power generation of 2.511 billion kilowatt hours. However, 92% of the new energy in the region is concentrated in the eastern suburbs, while 55% of the electricity load is distributed in the western central city. This inverse distribution of new energy generation and electricity load has led to the load of power facilities in the east and west of the region. The imbalance seriously affects the power supply security and economic operation of the power grid.
In order to solve this problem, State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd. selected Baoying area as a pilot area and took the lead in carrying out the construction of a transmission phase shifter technology demonstration project. Through the application of power transmission phase shifters, up to 100,000 kilowatts of new energy power can be accurately transmitted to the urban center, which is equivalent to 15.9% of the total power load in Baoying area, which greatly relieves the power supply pressure of the load center and effectively reduces It reduces the frequency of overloaded power facilities and ensures the safe, stable and economic operation of the power grid.
In addition, the application of this equipment also fills the gap in the application of economical and compact power flow control technology in my country. In one year of operation, a total of 260 million kilowatt hours of new energy power has been adjusted to the power load center.
